Many of you know Luigi because he plays in net for about a dozen teams at about a dozen rinks, and is usually one of the first guys people call when they need a sub, because besides being a solid goalie, he always has a good attitude, and is a genuinely a type of guy you want on your team.

What most players don’t know, is that outside of the hockey rink, Luigi is a Special Needs Educator at the Cantara Street Elementary School, where he and his colleagues teach in Special Day classes, working with mostly autistic kids.

It was my honor to surprise Luigi with a donation towards books and school supplies for his students from the funds we raised during our last event. Keep up the good work on and off the ice, Broski!

I would like to again Thank everyone who came out to the fundraiser game at The Cage Hockey Rink last month, as well as everyone who couldn’t make the game but donated anyway! Thank you for Giving a Puck!
