Memes and hashtags are cool, but real impact requires action. In our continued quest to support people and organizations that make their communities better, we are happy to make a small contribution to one such cause during this holiday season.

Regina Lee, a freshman at Saugus High School, started “Smile, SCV!” earlier this year to support local businesses affected by the pandemic shutdown. Also thinking about local children, she reached out to the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley to find ways to help, partnering with them to organize a toy drive.

Nearly 2,100 young people between the ages of 7 and 17 come to the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley to receive tutoring, homework assistance, computer training, sports, social recreation, education, mentoring, arts & crafts and so much more. This year, the nonprofit had to cancel their annual charity events due to health restrictions. They are currently collecting toys, books, and school for local kids.
